Walk with Us at Walktober!

Walktober is a community campaign led by the River’s Way Game Changers—young adults with differing abilities who inspire others through their leadership and commitment to health. They regularly walk 5–10 miles a day and encourage over 1,800 local students each year to stay active.

Walking is simple, inclusive, and powerful for both mental and physical health. Through Walktober, River’s Way continues its mission to create opportunities for people of all abilities to shine while promoting healthy, active lifestyles.

Join us for a free, inclusive community walk! Walk at your own pace and for as long as you’d like. The morning will include walking with the Game Changers, light stretching, music and dancing, prize giveaways, and more.

Everyone is welcome—walkers, strollers, wheelchairs, and anyone who wants to move, connect, and celebrate!

Every step counts. Come walk, connect, and celebrate inclusion with us!

Can’t make it? You can support in other ways! Donations to support our programs can be made online at riversway.org.
