During the summer months, River’s Way provides team building and adventure programming for a wide variety of organizations, the majority of whom serve youth from disadvantaged families and/or youth with disabilities. These organizations include Reality Ministries of Raleigh Durham, Highlands Community Services, Frontier Health, King College, Caring for Children. River's Way also runs a week long inclusive camp for youth and young adults with disabilities. See the description below for more information.

2011 Summer Day Camp at Sugar Hollow Park
River's Way will be running a summer day camp for youth with disabilities at Sugar Hollow Park near Exit 78 in Bristol VA. The camp is scheduled every week day from June 6th through July 22nd with the exception of the week of July 4th. Camp activities include hiking, strength training, swimming, drama, arts and crafts, nature awareness and service projects. For further information contact Tom Hanlon at tom@riversway.org.
2011Summer Inclusive Adventure Camp
July 18- 20 Our Summer Inclusive Camp is open for 10 campers with disabilities ages 16 and up. Camp activities include rafting, caving at Appalachian Caverns, swimming, canoeing, high ropes, climbing tower, miniature golf, group initiatives, games and crafts. Cost for the camp is $200. - Contact River's Way to make sure a spot is available. We fill spots first come, first served.
- Send in the Summer Camp Application, Health Information Form, Adventure Program Release and Medications Form along with a check for $75.
