Does your team need a little fine tuning or even a major overhaul?
You can’t win the team race without regular maintenance. We provide that maintenance at River’s Way. We will guide your team through a 12 point check up to help you achieve your best performance. For tools, we use our low and high ropes courses. We focus on fun, hands-on challenges and learning.
12 Point Check Up

Making the Most of Your River’s Way Experience
Teams are the basic work unit in business. Teams that function well can accomplish more than the individuals can accomplish on their own. Teams can do this because they bring a wide range of expertise and perspective to the task at hand. Teams also foster a sense of ownership: people are more likely to support those projects that they have had a hand in creating. In order to build a strong team, attention must be paid to team maintenance. A strong team is like a well tuned engine. Even the best team needs regular tune ups in order to run at the optimum level. Team maintenance requires regular fine tuning with the following principles in mind:
- Ownership Team maintenance is the responsibility of each team member. Team members understand that team maintenance is a job requirement.
- Clear Goals/Tasks The team articulates goals/tasks in a clear and concise manner understandable to all team members.
- Follow Through Each team member commits to follow through on assignments.
- Team Members are Seen as Resources Every team member is treated with respect, encouragement and support. People listen to each other and create opportunities for each other to contribute.
- Shared Leadership Team leadership is shared. Team members avoid extremes of talking too much or too little.
- Learning from Mistakes Mistakes are reviewed in detail. The team devises means of avoiding mistakes in the future. Mistakes are the responsibility of the team. Blaming is not tolerated.
- Documentation Team decisions are summarized and documented.
- Celebration and Acknowledgment Moments are set aside for celebration and acknowledgement.
- Alternatives in Planning Alternatives are considered before jumping into action.
- 10. Win-win Results Team members resolve conflicts to produce win-win results.
