The River's Way Mission:  "Providing Opportunities for Youth of All Abilities to Grow Through Outdoor Adventure Programming."

River's Way Camp AIM

July 14-18 ~ $425.00
Open to girls, Ages 14-18

Camp AIM: Where girls can Be Active, Get Informed, and Stay Motivated, creates a fun and exciting atmosphere for building positive self-confidence and learning new ways to be an active teen, all while making new friends and taking part in outdoor adventures at River’s Way. River’s Way Outdoor Adventure Center is a non-profit camp who is partnering with the Bristol YWCA to make a difference in the lives of Tri-Cities teens. Camp AIM is open to any girl in the Tri-Cities area, ages 14-18.

We will couple informative class sessions with exciting trips like white water rafting, caving, and canoeing so the girls can learn nutritional facts while getting a workout that is fun! In the evenings, we will experience some events only this area has to offer such as a play at the Barter Theatre and a tour of the Bristol Motor Speedway. Both River’s Way and the YWCA staff have come up with ways to incorporate aerobic and cardio activity into everyday tasks so our campers won’t feel burdened by running long distances or spending hours sweating. With competent and passionate instructors, counselors, trainers, dieticians, and doctors on board we are teaching girls what they need to know to make short-term decisions with a life-long impact.

Last summer’s results were staggering with seven out of 12 girls losing a significant amount of weight and maintaining that weight loss throughout a nine month follow-up program!

Compare a similar camp’s prices around $3000 for the same length of time, River’s Way is only asking for $425 for the entire week, including all trips, food, and fun! Scholarships are available but the spots are filling up fast so apply today!
