Lodge Rental Info

Lodge Description

The River’s Way lodge overlooks a wooded channel of the South Fork of the Holston River and is open to rental for the general public. The expansive porch of the lodge is about 30 feet from the river. The lodge is constructed from logs taken from an 18th century farmhouse in Bluff City and from wood purchased from local lumber mills. The floors are built with Southern Pine and the walls and ceilings are built with hemlock, pine, chestnut and tulip poplar. There is a large stone fireplace flanked by comfortable furniture in the living room.

We have replaced most of our camp style bunks with more comfortable beds in both downstairs bunkrooms. The loft room has a queen sized bed. With the changeover in bedding, we now provide sheets, pillows/pillow cases and blankets for each bed. There are eight full sized beds and one Queen sized bed. Bunk beds and cots are available for larger parties. Total lodge capacity is 16.

The lodge kitchen has a stove (courtesy of the Hunter Banks Co.), two refrigerators, a large freezer and serving/cooking utensils for up to 30 people.

Guests have the use of a Weber Grill, and an outdoor fire pit.

The lodge has satellite TV and there is a DSL connection for laptop use.

Lodge Testimonials

"We love the lodge. Our group of five to seven fishermen uses the lodge in the spring and fall for three days of fishing and fun. The lodge is perfect for us: good sleeping accommodations, spacious kitchen (we cook great meals), and large bath rooms. The property and river are beautiful."

"We had eight fisherman and your accommodations were great! The lodge had plenty of room for our group’s socializing and cooking. Thank you for a great experience and we will definitely be back!

"Thank you for making River’s Way available to fishermen. We find this a very pleasant, safe, and convenient access to the S Holston. Also we are happy to participate in and support the fine work Rivers Way does for kids."

Frank Smith
Hunter Banks Co.

"Everyone knows that the South Holston is one of finest trout fisheries in the country; however, very few have had the pleasure of experiencing the South Holston at River’s Way. For my family, River’s Way is truly considered a sacred destination. We try to spend at least one weekend a year there reconnecting. Whether on the river, or relaxing on the porch listening to the stream, we have come to relish our time at Rivers Way.

Alan Brookshire
Asheville, NC

"Great accommodations in a rustic, secluded lodge adjacent to the South Holston River! Great weekend get away location for a small group or family. Views of the adjoining countryside are outstanding as is the fishing for trophy trout."
